Hello, my name is Marivy Carrasco and welcome to my blog! First off, I would like to start by thanking you for visiting my page and now, let’s just jump right in. I’d like to start by introducing myself. I am a 20 (almost 21) year old who works hard and a lot, loves basketball, spending time with family, and who can’t wait to graduate from college. As I just stated above, I am in LOVE with basketball, It’s the one thing I am passionate about and I’d like to share that with you all. I’ve been playing for almost 12 years now. I’ve taken my middle school to the championships and won! I was also awarded MVP all my years playing in high school. I now play regularly at the YMCA with some guys from my work and I also coached a group of girls last year. Basketball was the one thing that kept my life on track. It made me want to do good in school and it also kept me in shape! Since I’ve graduated high school I’ve had a hard time wanting to go back to school because I stopped playing, but it still somehow managed to come back and motivate me. Now it makes me want to graduate college so I can either coach or become an athletic trainer for basketball players. I feel like it doesn’t matter what I do, as long as basketball is involved I’ll be happy. I also wish to make a good amount of money working that’s why I am so eager to graduate as well. I have many goals in life but one of my main goals is to always be there for my little sisters. I’m the oldest of 7 siblings including me and I know they are all looking up to me. That’s the reason why I work as hard as I do. Right now, I work overnights at a warehouse so going back to school wasn’t easy but I know it’s something I need to do to prove to them that no matter what it takes or how hard it is, it will all be worth it in the end. Family, basketball, and school are the things that are most important to me, they make me who I am but there’s a lot more to me than what meets the eye. This is just a little bit about me and I hope this will help you see where I’m coming from throughout this blog. Hopefully you can understand a little better why I see the world the way I do. I’m very excited to start and share this blog with all of you. And I hope you’ll follow me through this journey.
